Miss DIICOT, now wants the DNA head

Still a candidate for the recently occupied chair by Laura Codruta Kovesi. Military prosecutor Nicolae Lupulescu signed up for the race to the DNA chief.

The information was confirmed by Minister Tudorel Toader van Justitie.

Prosecutor Nicolae Lupulescu has the rank of Major General and works at the public prosecutor's office that is attached to the Supreme Court of Cassation and Justice. He was posted to the MApN for a period of three years from March 14, 2016.

In March 2015, Lupulescu was nominated for the position of chief prosecutor at DIICOT, alongside Ioana Albani, Daniel Horodniceanu, Giorgiana Hosu, Adrian Gluga and Catalin Borcoman.

The Attorney General is the second candidate who is registered for the DNA chief.

Friday is the last day that candidates for the position of chief prosecutor of DNA can be submitted.

According to the timetable announced by the Ministry of Justice, the list of candidates who meet the legal conditions for participation in the selection and programming of the interviews will be shown at the headquarters of the Ministry and published on its website on 29 August, while the prosecutors who will participate in the selection will support, 3 to 5 September, an interview with Tudorel Toader, and the result of the selection will be announced on 6 September.

On August 6, the Ministry of Justice resumed the selection procedure for the position of chief prosecutor of the DNA, after Tudorel Toader had not accepted any of the four candidates in the first selection.
