On 08.12.2016, the public prosecutor's office attached to the Supreme Court of Cassation has signed two protocols with the Romanian intelligence service:

II. Protocol on the organization of cooperation between the Romanian secret service and the prosecutor's office annexed to the Supreme Court of Cassation and Justice for the performance of their duties in accordance with the law (secret state, SECRET level).
With regard to this protocol we show:
1. The purpose of the Protocol is to cooperate in the field of crimes against national security, terrorist crimes and crimes committed by military personnel of the Romanian Intelligence Service, to inform the Public Prosecutor's Office of the information provided by S.R.I. established crimes. and the communication of information in accordance with the provisions of Law No 50/1991 on the national security of Romania, of Act No. 14/1992 on the organization and operation of S.R. and the Code of Criminal Procedure.
2. The protocol was no longer in force on 13 March 2017, with the consent of the signatory institutions. At the same time, the Supreme Court of Cassation and Justice has asked the Romanian Intelligence Service to state whether it maintains the secret character of the document.
3. On March 22, 2018, the prosecutor's office of the Supreme Court for Cassation and Justice initiated the steps to declassify the protocol and request the DVI. agreement in this respect.
4. No public information has been communicated to this Protocol and has not been published because the declassification procedure has not been completed.
