To date, on November 27, 457,848 cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID – 19) in Romania were confirmed, after yesterday, November 26, 9,005 were recorded in 24 hours.

326,657 patients were declared cured.

After the tests carried out nationally, 8,499 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered compared to the previous report, ie cases who had not previously undergone a positive test.

* Regarding the “new cases not allocated by provinces”, we specify that their number is determined by the changes made to the electronic platform reporting and centralizing the test results for the novel coronavirus. Thus, according to the new methodology, the test centers will directly introduce the results of the tests performed, and the epidemiological investigation will be carried out at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases will be assigned to the province / locality to which the infected persons belong.

The coefficient of infection that accumulated after 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Health Directorates at the level of the Municipality of Bucharest and the provinces. Aside from the newly confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 1,208 people were confirmed positive. The distribution by province of these cases can be found in the table below.

To date, 10,884 people have died when diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Between 11/26/2020 (10 a.m.) – 11/27/2020 (10 a.m.), 172 deaths were reported (109 men and 63 women), of some patients infected with the novel coronavirus, admitted to Alba, Argeş, Arad, Bacău, Bistrița -Năsăud, Bihor, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Gorj, Harghita,
Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iaşi, Maramureş, Mehedinți, Mureş, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiş, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 20-29 years, 2 deaths in the age category 30-39 years, 6 deaths in the age category 40-49 years, 11 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 39 deaths in the age category 60 -69 years, 62 deaths in the age category 70-79 years and 51 deaths in the age category over 80 years.

165 of the recorded deaths are from a few patients who had co-morbidities, 3 deceased patients had no co-morbidities, and 4 deceased patients had no co-morbidities reported so far.

In the specialized health departments, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13,157. Of these, 1,226 are hospitalized at ATI.

To date, 4,048,536 tests have been processed nationally. Of these, 35,610 were performed in the past 24 hours, 23,026 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 12,584 on demand.

As of the latest information from GCS, the results have also been reported from 1,039 tests processed prior to the past 24 hours and submitted through Nov. 27.

In Romania, 46,856 people confirmed to have the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 11,916 people are in institutional isolation. 69,180 people are also at home in quarantine and 62 people in institutionalized quarantine.

In the past 24 hours, 4,803 calls were registered on the unique emergency number 112 and 629 on the TELVERDE line (0800 800358), opened especially for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes imposed 6,345 sanctions on November 26 this year for minor offenses, which amounts to 1,018,355 lei.

Also yesterday, through the competent police structures, 2 crimes were found to thwart the fight against disease, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Criminal Code.

We remind citizens that from 04.07.2020, the Ministry of the Interior has operationalized a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of sanitary protection standards can be reported.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher in an integrated system and distributed to the territorial structures for verification of the reported problems.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,876 Romanian citizens were infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,936 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in United Kingdom, 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the US, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in
Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 11 in the Republic of Moldova and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, the Republic of the Congo, Qatar, the Vatican, Portugal and Egypt.

Since the start of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 127 Romanian citizens have
abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in the United Kingdom, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the US, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, they died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

As of November 26, 2020, 12,530,862 cases were reported in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland and Andorra.

Most cases have been reported in France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy and Germany.
