MOSCOW, September 17. / TASS /. Former spokesperson of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Natalia Timakova, was appointed deputy chairman of Vnesheconombank (VEB), the state-owned company said.

"Natalia Timakova has been appointed as deputy chairman of Vnesheconombank, and she will be responsible for interacting with the government and overseeing cultural projects and issues of corporate social responsibility in the context of the development of the modern urban economy," the report said. .

In 2000 Timakova started working in the press service of the Russian president, on 13 May 2008 she was appointed spokesperson for Medvedev, the current head of state. In 2012 she received the function of press secretary of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and the function of deputy head of the government apparatus.
