Moscow, August 22. Passengers of the Red Wings TU-204 aircraft, which made an emergency landing in Ufa on Wednesday because of the fire engine, revealed the details of the incident. August 22nd they called their second birthday.
Tu-204 would deliver 202 passengers, including 41 children, from Ufa to Sochi. A few minutes after takeoff, however, one of the aircraft engines caught fire. The crew of the Tu-204 decided to land. Upon returning to Ufa, all passengers of the aircraft were evacuated successfully, the fire was eliminated. None of those who flew to the Tu-204 were injured, psychologists met on the ground.
"All airport fire and rescue operations worked according to the emergency plan, passengers were evacuated with inflatable ladders seven minutes after landing of the aircraft," explains the airport press service.
According to the passengers themselves there was no panic aboard the Tu-204, but someone, as eyewitnesses suggest, will not be able to fly after the incident.
"We flew to Sochi, the turbine caught fire on the ascent, landed successfully, rolled down the hill, it was all gone quickly, it was scary, real, the flat floor refused to fly, someone probably could not fly now. was scary, of course, "- said in a conversation with KP.Ru one of the passengers Denis.
Another eyewitness, Dmitry, called on the 22nd of August the second day of the birth of all who flew on an illuminated plane.
"The engine caught fire at altitude, it only started, and there it is, thank God, everybody is alive, so the second day is the birth of everything!" – he said.
In turn, the pilot of the Tu-204 Evgeny Malkov recorded a video message, in which he called to draw no hasty conclusions in connection with the incident and to wait for an official investigation. He recalled that the interstate Aviation Commission will determine the exact cause of the engine fire.
"Now we can only say that all services, including flight attendants, pilots, ground services, firefighters and emergency workers work very clearly and harmoniously, there are no victims, this is the most important thing," the pilot emphasized.
After the incident, the Tu-204 passengers were stationed at the airport, they received hot meals and drinks. At 11.21 they flew from Ufa on a back-up ship to Sochi. Some of the passengers refused to continue the flight.
