MOSCOW, August 28. / TASS /. Russian President Vladimir Putin will continue his work trip to the regions of the Siberian Federal District. On Tuesday the head of state is scheduled to hold events in Novosibirsk and Omsk. This was reported by the press service of the Kremlin.
The head of state, who had been on holiday last weekend in Tuva, visited Kemerovo on Monday, the next point of his work trip: Novosibirsk. Here the President of the Russian Federation will discuss the plenary session of the international forum Technoprom-2018 and also view a number of stands at the exhibition of technological development. "The main theme of the forum this year is to promote technological leadership of the Russian economy based on the development and accelerated introduction of scientific-intensive" intellectual "technologies in traditional industries," said the press service.
Also, in connection with the upcoming start of the new academic year, part of the presidency program in Novosibirsk will be devoted to education. "Putin will assess the quality of the training schools in the region by 1 September," according to the press service. "The results of the work trip will be summed up during the meeting with the provisional governor Andrei Travnikov," added the Kremlin.
In the afternoon, the head of state will arrive in the Omsk region. "Putin will hold a meeting on socio-economic issues with the participation of government members," noted the press service. In addition, the president will get acquainted with the progress of the reconstruction of the historical development area of Omsk, accompanied by the provincial governor Alexander Burkov.
Last time, head of state Novosibirsk visited during a work trip in February of this year, when he held a meeting of the Council for Science and Education in particular. In Omsk Putin the last time came in April 2003.
The sixth international technology development forum Technoprom will be held at the Novosibirsk Expocenter site from 27 to 30 August. This year the forum collected a record of 7 thousand participants, for which about 70 business events, an exhibition of innovative products and developments, as well as a cultural program were organized.
Representatives of federal and regional authorities, heads of scientific organizations, representatives of a wide range of innovative companies and the expert community take part in the forum. The Iranian embassy, representatives of the Russian-German foreign trade chamber, the French-Russian Chamber of Commerce and the head of the representative office of the Taiwan Foreign Trade Development Council showed interest in the event.
