The Russian Ministry of Defense published released documents on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Kursk. They describe the course of the Great Patriotic War in the summer of 1943.

On the eve of the Day of Military Glory, which is celebrated in Russia on 23 August, the Ministry of Defense presented a historical and cognitive project, devoted in particular to the events of 1943, when the great battle for the Kur- Ardennes was completed.

"A special place among the released documents is the directive of the Supreme Headquarters on the approval of the plan for the liberation of Kharkov … According to the document, the coordination of the actions of the four fronts in the battles on the Koersk Ardennes was concentrated in the hands of mysterious personalities – "comrades Yuryev and Alexandrov," says the text.

According to the ministry these names in the documents include Soviet marshals Georgy Zhukov and Alexander Vasilevsky.

The project also publishes prizes.

It was previously reported that the Russian Ministry of Defense published a series of documents on the Day of the Russian Air Force on the history of military aviation and the heroic deeds of military pilots during the Great Patriotic War.
