The cause of the ignition of the engine in a passenger plane that flew from Ufa to Sochi was, according to the main version of the investigation, a technical malfunction. This was reported by the Commission of Inquiry of the Russian Federation twitter.
A criminal case was opened about the fact of the incident, the ministry said. It was initiated under the article "Violation of safety rules for the operation of air transport".
Remember that the passenger Tu-204 was forced to return to Ufa airport on Wednesday, August 22, after some time after take-off, when he set one of the engines on fire. At that time, 202 passengers were on board the aircraft. The plane made an emergency landing. No one was injured.
