The number of trainees in the program for this year 149 interns and interns, belonging to 11 Saudi universities are: King Saud University, Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Prince Sultan University, Faisal University, Prince Sattam University , The University of Al-Yamamah, Taif University, Dar Al Uloom University, in seven scientific disciplines: civil engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, architecture, chemical technology, architecture and building sciences, building technology.
The main areas of the project are: project management, construction management, design, train and control systems, operation and maintenance, risk management, health and safety regulations, quality control, personal efficiency and effectiveness, cultural awareness.
The summer training program for 1439H included field visits to groups of trainees to six countries around the world, including Italy, Denmark, Great Britain, France, the Netherlands and Spain, to train students in factories where many elements of the project, And modern systems and techniques , while a group of students received training in the countries of origin and in the city of Riyadh.
The summer school program, which since its inception four years ago attracted 392 students from 15 Saudi universities, is part of a series of similar programs set up by the Authority in collaboration with Saudi universities and related organizations to explore aspects of technology transfer and localization of expertise in the project.
The summer course program was attended by the parents of the trainees and their family members. A short documentary film about the summer training program was presented in the public transport project in Riyadh. The program included meetings, lectures, field visits, theoretical and practical activities.
