The Food and Drug Authority has obliged all companies that import food products to write the date of manufacture for products whose validity is no longer than one month and is classified as "limited shelf life".
In a statement Okaz said that the laws are implemented from today (Saturday).
This comes after the Commission has given a decision to update the Saudi technical regulations concerning the periods of the mandate of food products, including the need to mention the production date on some of them.
