Ashraf Sobhi, Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports, revealed the possibility of Mortada Mansour, the suspended and fired Zamalek chairman, in the upcoming White Castle election.
During a television interview, Subhi set a condition for Mansour to run again, saying, “If he has nothing legal, he can run naturally in the next election.”
This came in light of the issue of an official decision on Sunday to suspend and completely exclude Zamalek’s board of directors for financial irregularities and refer them to the prosecution service to investigate these violations.
The minister added: “All matters were before us, but we were looking for the common good, as we are not destroying entities, and the timing of the announcement of the decision had to be appropriate and in favor of the institution regardless. the magnitude of the pressure. “
After Sobhi’s supervision of what has recently been reported on the existence of conspiracies against the Zamalek club, he said, “We will not allow conspiracies against the institution, and at least this is on the part of the ministry. We did this before with Al-Ahly and held it when there were outside quarrels because this is our role. “
