This Tuesday, March 19, 2019 will remain an unforgettable day for the women of Ngoundiane. In fact, they flocked from all the villages of the Commune and attended the inauguration of the Foyer de la Femme of Ngoundiane who financed 35 million in the capital of the Commune. Consisting of a building with four offices and a meeting room, all air-conditioned, this jewel is equipped with brand new office furniture, computer equipment and decorated with beautiful paintings and green spaces. On the site of this hearth, the brave women of Ngoundiane were lucky enough to receive the grain processing unit offered to them by the International Francophony Organization (OIF) for a value of twelve million francs. This unit consists of a dozen machines housed in a hangar built by women on their equity for an amount of three million. This modern infrastructure, with a total cost of fifty million, will undoubtedly contribute to improving the empowerment of women in Ngoundiane and to a significant reduction in the mass exodus to urban centers. The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of Mr Ciro Lo, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Women, Family and Gender, Mr. Mbagnick Ndiaye, Integration Minister, Nepad and La Francophonie, Mrs. Penda Mbow, Minister Personal Representative of the Head of State at the Francophonie and a dozen ambassadors from countries that are members of the group of friends of La Francophonie, Mr. Adama Diouf, President of the UAEL of various mayors and other administrative and political authorities.
