The Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabic, in the interview with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Communities and the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Cape Verde, Luiz Filipe Lopeš Tavareš, reviewed the two countries promote traditionally friendly relations and mutual respect, on the basis of which we can build and promote economic, cultural and other forms of cooperation and deepen political relations.

Prime Minister Brnabić expressed her gratitude to the Republic of Cape Verde for not recognizing the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and stressed that this is the main national problem for Serbia.

Brnabic also thanked Serbia for its support in obtaining the status of associate observer in the Commonwealth of Portuguese speaking countries in July of this year and expressed the conviction that our two countries will work closely together in that organization, the agency for media concern from the government.

He expressed the conviction that Cape Verde will support Serbia in the international organizations of which it is a member.

Brnabić said she was very satisfied with the fact that five Cape Verdeans studied in Serbia and stated that the Serbian Government will continue to offer scholarships to students from this country within the "The World in Serbia" program, which states that this is the best way is to bring the two cultures and peoples together.

The interlocutors agreed that the opening of the honorary consulates of Serbia and the Republic of Cape Verde would be of great importance for the further development of the bilateral relations of the two countries.
