The Serbia military union today sent a letter to President Aleksandar Vucic to inform him that it is necessary to hold an emergency meeting with the military personnel representatives to get acquainted with the actual situation in the armed forces, which they as very worrying.
The trade union judged that the state of the defense system would completely disable the basic functional and operational capacity of the army to defend the country.
"During the meeting, representatives of the representative trade union will make concrete proposals for improving the state of resources, mainly for the retention of professional staff that is currently drastically decreasing, which is why the operational capacity of Serbian forces for its fundamental constitutional function, material and social status of members of the army ", according to the statement.
The union said the president would report on cases of violation of laws, false reporting, abuse, corruption and crime in the Serbian armed forces, "seriously undermining the defending power of the country and damaging the state and its taxpayers" ".
