MINISTRY OF FINANCE: the national debt of Serbia 24 billion euros, 59.7 percent of the GDP in June



The government debt of Serbia amounted to 24.03 billion euros at the end of June 2018, or 59.7% of the gross domestic product (GDP), the Ministry of Finance

This means a slight decrease in government debt compared to the previous month, when it was heavier than 24.12 billion euros, accounting for 59.9 percent of GDP.

At the end of 2017, government debt amounted to 23.22 billion euros, or 61.6 percent of GDP.

The lowest share of government debt in the country's gross domestic product was recorded in 2008, when the nominal amount of 8.78 billion euro accounted for 28.3 percent of GDP, while the bulk of 201.2 percent of GDP GDP registered in 2000.
