SINGAPORE – A man died in the hospital after a car accident in Yishun last Saturday morning (August 18).
The Straits Times understands that the 29-year-old man, who was behind the wheel of the car, succumbed to his injuries at the Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) on the same day at about 12.30.
In response to questions, the police said that they were aware of the accident on Yishun Avenue 1 in the direction of Yishun Avenue 8 on Saturday at 3.29 am.
The Singapore Civil Defense Force said the driver was unconscious when he was taken to KTPH and the hospital was alerted to stand on standby to receive it.
ST understands that the car was on Lentor Avenue when it slipped and made a turn to Yishun Avenue 1.
It then rose on a curb and collided with the metal barrier on the roadblock and was found stationary on Yishun Avenue 1 in the direction of Yishun Avenue 8.
Police investigations are under way.
