A BARRHEAD woman talked about the "amazing, inspiring and motivating" experience of attending a conference for female business leaders in Singapore.
Beth Welsh, business development manager for Pioneer Mutual Credit Union at Main Street, received one of the four Global Women & # 39; s Scholarships from the Global Women & # 39; s Leadership Network.
As part of her scholarship, she was given the opportunity to attend the World Credit Union Conference (WCCU) in Singapore, with more than 1,400 members of the credit union, CEOs & seniors from around the world.
Beth represented the UK and wore a flag at the opening ceremony of the conference, along with representatives from the 57 other countries.
After his return, Beth said: "Attending WCCU as part of my Global Women's Leaders Network grant was a great, inspiring and motivating experience, to have the opportunity to network and learn from the credit union leaders today and tomorrow was priceless.
"It was a stimulus to see the global movement in action and the social impact that credit unions around the world have."
