Dunamu of S. Korea starts crypto-exchange in Singapore next month



Seoul, September 19 (Yonhap) – Dunamu Inc., operator of the leading cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea, said Wednesday that it plans to launch a digital currency exchange in Singapore next month.

The company, which operates the Upbit local exchange, established a branch in Singapore in February and actively pushed to enter the Asian market.

Although the exact date of the launch has yet to be determined, the service in Singapore will be available from the beginning of October, according to the company.

"Now that Singapore proactively supports blockchain technology, our progress in the nation will help us secure many opportunities to lead a variety of relevant projects and global competitiveness," said Kim Kook-hyun, head of Singaporean branch of Upbit.
