SINGAPORE: Gardens by the Bay will make the skies shine, as it celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival for two weeks from September 6th to September 24th.
Theme autumn of fantasies, the festival will feature large-scale lantern sets of mythical creatures, cultural performances, a food street and a fun zone.
One of the displays is Jumping over the Dragon Gate – the largest lantern display in Gardens by the Bay so far, with a length of 70 meters and a height of 10.8 meters. It is located above the water of Lake Libel and depicts the legend of the carp that turns into a dragon.

Other lanterns you have to watch out for are the link between The Phoneix and the Peony, which takes place in the Supertree Grove in the middle; Wonders of the Underwater World, a representation of 126 lanterns in the form of sea creatures; and the Sky Lantern Dreams, which hold the Scented Walk with more than 100 meters – the longest lantern-lined path at Gardens by the Bay.

The Colonnade of Lights is characterized by 1,000 lanterns hand-painted by various social service organizations, residents of Limbang and members of the Friends of the Gardens program.

The celebration of this year also includes multicultural performances such as Chinese opera, Malaysian dance and Indian music.
Visitors can also pamper their child in the Fun Zone, where nostalgic games for youth such as goli and kuti kuti can be seen.

The festival will be launched on 6 September by Minister for National Development Lawrence Wong.
