SINGAPORE – A 32-year-old motorcyclist was sent to National University Hospital (NUH) on Friday (Aug. 24) after a car knocked him down and then ran over him.
The incident took place around 11.05 am along Clementi Road in the direction of West Coast Highway.
Visual material, sent in by a Straits Times reader, shows the car filtering of Kent Ridge Crescent on Clementi Road. Instead of stopping at the intersection, the car suddenly seems to accelerate and turn to the right, colliding with a motorcyclist who has just driven the same track as the car.
The car continues for a few seconds, tows the motorcycle and seems to roll over the rider before it stops.
The Singapore Civil Defense Force said the motorcyclist was conscious when he was taken to NUH.
Police investigations are under way.
