There was a massive outcry about the National Rally from Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong about his advice & # 39; about how you could adapt to the rising cost of living.
The best weapon against the rising cost of living is raising our salaries. Despite the fact that People & # 39; s Action Party brags about the higher growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) in Singapore, the salaries of Singaporean Americans have barely caught up with the inflationary pressure, that is the essence of the case.
Instead of solving the problem of an inadequate income increase, or for many people, a decline in income due to a lack of employment and a poor combination of jobs, Prime Minister Lee and his ministers tried to lower our standard of living from the First World to the Third World!
We expect citizens to make progress in the quality of life as the country progresses from a developing country to a status as a developed country. But what PAP is trying to do is persuade Singaporeans to live with or downgrade to the Third World's standard of living, while continuing to give their annual million dollar salaries!
The truth is that although our growth in GDP may be the level & # 39; First World per Capital Income & # 39; The reality is that our purchasing power has deteriorated over the years due to the constant price increase. In reality, this is due to the influx of cheaper foreign workers and more multinational corporations (MNCs) that book and register their profits here in Singapore, without creating substantially well-paid jobs for Singaporeans.
The artificially stimulated GDP growth does not benefit Singaporeans much.
So it is really laughable for a self-governing ruling party holding the country in ransom to demand the highest salaries paid in the world for political appointments to try to keep the Singaporean readers ahead to reduce the control of expectations and frugal spending through our quality of life!
If you give us irrelevant 5 cents or 10 cent savings tips, such as going to Hawker centers, using public WiFi to save data usage, you will not really contribute to a significant saving for a household!
Worrying about the fact that people own air conditioners and mobile phones as a source of higher cost of living without addressing the real cause of increases in water taxes, electric tariffs and ultimately GST!
More importantly, it is utterly hypocritical to tell Singaporeans about reducing their cost of living by lowering the quality of life when the PAP government takes a spending time.
We have seen all kinds of infrastructures from HSR, Terminal 5 (which we do not even know how expensive it will be) and $ 16 million thrown into an "international party" between two leaders who do not produce substantial results!
It is really sick for me and reminds me of Animal Farm. The pigs will lead a luxurious lifestyle while constantly reading the other animals to lead a sober life, overworked to death.
If this is the first world government that Singaporean people wanted, then they really deserve the Third World quality of life that PAP wanted them to live – No cell phones, no air conditioning, the lowest quality milk powder for your baby, food at peddlers and not restaurants ( while they could play golf and drive the most expensive cars in the world). No progress in life, but only work to give ministers Top World Pay and money to fling to expensive projects of Grandiosity to glorify themselves as "big & # 39; leaders.
Our ancestors worked hard to bring Singapore from the Third World to the land of the First World, but ultimately only have the highest reward for 4G PAP ministers who bring us back from the First World to the Third World, while maintaining the highest political wages in the world.
Singaporeans, are you happy now?
