SINGAPORE: Twenty-two people were taken to hospital after a car and bus collided on Jurong Island Highway on Sunday morning (Dec. 6).
The Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) said it was informed of a road accident along the Jurong Island highway at about 7am on Sunday.
The accident happened towards the end of the highway, police said.
Twenty-one bus passengers, all male, were taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH), Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and National University Hospital (NUH), police said.
The driver of the car, a 42-year-old man, was also conscious when he was taken to NUH.
They were all conscious when they were taken to hospital, police said.
SCDF said eight people were taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, eleven people to NUH and three people to SGH.
Video circulating on social media showed a bus falling on its side and crushing the front half of the car.
Police investigations are underway.
