New York, August 24 (TASR) – HP, a third quarter of the current fiscal year, has announced a profit growth of more than a quarter. In particular, the Personal Systems division has made a contribution.

The company said net profit in the third quarter of 2017/2018 was $ 880 million (€ 760 million) and ended on July 31, which is 54 cents per share. Year-on-year growth is 26.4%. Excluding one-off items, earnings per share amounted to 52 cents. The company thus outperformed the analysts' estimates, which calculated a revised earnings per share of 51 cents.

Revenues reached $ 14.6 billion. Compared to the same period last year, this means a growth of 11.5%.

The Personal Systems division, including sales of personal computers and laptops, was the most positive result. It generated revenue of $ 9.4 billion, which exceeded market expectations, accounting for $ 9 billion in revenue.

The revenues of the printing division also exceeded the expectations of analysts. They reached US $ 5.19 billion, while analysts counted $ 5.11 billion in revenue.
