New York, August 24 (TASR) – Wall Street continues to grow. The S & P 500, as well as the Nasdaq Composite Technology Index, recorded new records on Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average key index improved by more than 150 points.
Nasdaq Composite strengthened by 0.84% to 7944.75. The main reason for this was the growth of Netflix, which increased by 3.4% on Friday and has already risen by more than 10% since the beginning of the week. The S & P 500 index, which was 0.60% and reached 2874.08 points, was also determined by the new historical maximum.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average index stood at 18.08 hours with a surplus of 157.35 points or 0.61% at 25,814.33 points.
President of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell at a Jackson Hole conference said he was expecting a new gradual rise in interest rates and that the US economy is strong enough to face a stricter monetary policy.
The Dollar fell 0.6 percent on Powell's basket.
