The police ended an investigation into the murder of a lawyer and former president of the Constitutional Court of the TSFR, Ernest Valko, which took place on 8 November 2010.
The investigation was completed on 16 August a motion to file charges against two men. These are Jozef R., accused of a particularly serious crime of murder, of the violation of domestic freedom and of the crime and crime of illegal arms and arms smuggling. Jaroslav K. is accused of a crime of theft. At a press conference in Bratislava on Tuesday, the head of the national anti-criminal unit NAKA Branislav Zurian announced that the motive of men's behavior would be a robbery.
In the case of a guilty acquittal the 43-year-old Joseph R. threatens to hold 20 to 25 years, the 45-year-old Jaroslav K. from seven to twelve years old. Both currently have a verdict for another violent crime. According to Zurian there was no evidence that the suspect was associated with a criminal group, nor with the murder to order. The men came to Limbach for almost eight years, where Valko was at home, with the intention of dropping him off for the money he would have to have in his suitcase according to his information. However, they only found Valkov's personal weapon, which they had stolen.
The initial test requirement was broken after the researchers the men in the sentence began to denounce the tragic event. According to Zurian they fall together in some parts of their testimony, in others they are in conflict. Researchers have shown that the truth should be the statement of Jaroslav K., who claims that Joseph R. shot into Valka's house. On November 8, 2010, the men overhauled the fence around the villa of a lawyer and installed a window of unknown chemicals on the Valka to drive the house after the arrival of the house. It happened, Valko opened both doors on the terrace.
"At that time both accusations began and went into the living room, where a physical attack on the injured Ernest Valk was actively defended, during which one of the accused – 43-year-old Jozef R. used a firearm that he had illegally detained and murdered Ernest Valka once shot at the breast, " said the head of the anti-criminal unit.
Both men went to Pezinka after they had searched the case for the crime scene. The murder weapon was dissected into three parts and threw it into the Kotlina water reservoir at Pezinok. The police officer found her last year. The coat of arms of Ernest Valka ended on the day of the reservoir Kačisdorf, found in 2014.
In November 2017, Public Prosecutor Jaromir Čižnár, then police president Tibor Gašpar and the special prosecutor, Dušan Kováčik, announced the accusations of a few men. Law enforcement authorities have investigated this case of murder without interruption for seven years. During this period, he performed 12 scene visits, 108 witnesses and wounded witnesses, 72 expert testimonies, 4 home visits or 40 body inspections.
Minister of the Interior Denisa Sakova (Smer-SD) praised the ongoing work of the police in clarifying the murder of Ernest Valk. "I am delighted that, despite the first evidential value, the police, thanks to their hard and persistent work, have managed to clarify the crime that has traumatized society for almost eight years," Sakova said.
