Expands production. The car supplier Prievidza, Brose, buys another plot in the industrial park in Prievidza.
The sale of 7,556 square meters of space was taken on Monday by local deputies. The investor wants to use the land for the construction of the production halls of the car industry. The company asked the state for investment aid of € 8.12 million in connection with the expansion of the production of mechatronic components and at the same time wanted to buy land in the vicinity of the company. Sale of land was occupied for the second time by the city council.
Documents for the two-week hearings have also been withdrawn, including questions about land prices and refinements, for which purpose the company will use it. "The pre-emptive right has also changed, because the city wanted to guarantee that this country would really be used for the next Brose company," said Mayor Katarina Macháčková. The discussion about the price was, in her opinion, quite extensive, some members suggested EUR 30 per square meter. "Now the price is EUR 15. Land is not ideal, it is triangular, it merges with the Bros. country," the mayor added.
