Are you surprised how many Slovenians booked it?

In Europe, Volkswagen received 15,000 reservations for ID3 electric cars, of which more than a hundred from Slovenia. The management of the brand, which together with Renault manages the Slovenian car market, remains in ambitious predictions – they plan to sell thousands of electric vehicles next year.

The Volkswagen revolution: can skeptical Slovenes convince? #video

Last week Volkswagen launched a collection of reservations for its first special electric car. Volkswagen is a leading brand in Europe and the entire group is one of the largest car manufacturers in the world. They have the financial resources to develop technology, factories, battery production, as well as recycling related processes, reduce carbon emissions, and so on.

As a leading brand, they will examine the sales results

In electromobility four years after the diesel affair was introduced very seriously and therefore their first performance is being examined. The Group will invest 30 billion euros by 2023 and plans to sell 22 million electric vehicles within a decade. Only the central Volkswagen brand plans to sell ten million by 2030. For the time being these figures are theoretical, as the Germans currently only have concepts, not serial cars & # 39; s. The first sales results (and the relocation of facilities) show how useful these plans are.

Volkswagen also takes the same goals in Slovenia as the leading car brand. Porsche Slovenia is the country's largest car dealer (with a turnover of more than half a billion euros, a profit of 11 million euros) and their policy is a clear indicator of future trends in a relatively small car market. In three years the company will invest a million euros in the charging infrastructure.

Volkswagen has so far received 15,000 reservations for the ID.3 car in Europe. Most of them came from Norway, the Netherlands, Great Britain and Sweden. They received a hundred reservations from Slovenia that are not compulsory.

Volkswagnov electric ID.3 was reserved by more than a hundred Slovenes

The first special electric car with the new MEB platform (so far from the MQB platform) is an important brand test for European customers. When Tesla introduced the Model 3, it received more than 100,000 reservations in the first 24 hours.

Volkswagen received 10 thousand in 24 hours, and today 15 thousand. In Slovenia there were more than 100 (108 yesterday). Let us emphasize that one car can be booked with one credit card.

Reservations were not binding in Tesla or Volkswagen, and these are not real car orders. Volkswagen actually hides it and will present it at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the fall. At that time, more precise prices for a car in Slovenia will also be known.

Thousands of electric Volkswagns on Slovenian roads in one year?

Marko Škriba, director of the Marko brand, in the interview for Siol.net, said in the spring that he wants to sell 500 ID3 cars next year, along with a total of 400 renewed e-ups and new electric crossovers ( working name ID crozz). Yesterday, Škriba also repeated these figures, which are very high in terms of the Slovenian market for electro mobility.

Last year an individual brand in Slovenia sold more than 100 electric vehicles for the first time (combined according to Volkswagn 555), and their share in the entire Slovenian car fleet is only 0.1 percent.

If Volkswagen sells only 900 electric vehicles, this will increase the share of alternative vehicles. This year all traders in Slovenia sell around 800, two thousand three thousand in the year, 20 thousand eight thousand and 20 thousand in 2030, a further 18 thousand electric vehicles each year.

An electric car will change the activities of car dealers

Of course, cars are not the only air pollutant. Cars in the European Union cause 24 percent of CO2 emissions, 27 percent in Slovenia and 20 percent in the world. The largest source of CO2 emissions is energy with 32 percent, and a share of 10 percent of households is mentioned.

"However, we must also ensure the environment that suits us, both for the delivery of electric cars and the models of our company." The electric car means less income for us, less service, less chance of damage and the whole car is considerably less complex. We have decided to train our entire network for electromobility and that the level of our services in this area will be the same as before, "said Danilo Ferjančič, director of Porsche Slovenia.

One of these services is a trademark of Moon. This is the product of the Porsche Holding Company in Salzburg, which has chosen Slovenia as one of the four pilot markets in Europe.

Under this brand, they will market a whole range of support services for electric car owners. These are semi-public charging stations, energy storage, solar cells, dynamic charging control and the like. The domestic charging station of 11 kilowatts together with the installation will cost around 800 euros.

These chargers are not only used for Volkswag vehicles, but are also equipped with other makes of vehicles. It is therefore the sale of infrastructure to private individuals and companies.

According to Škribe and Ferjančič, the battery will be 40% filled at home and at work in the future, while the remainder on highways and on stronger & # 39; travel bottles & # 39; lies. Interestingly, they did not mention retail (discount) centers in this division, which are already investing in the charging infrastructure abroad at least abroad (and even in Slovenia) and can become a competition for traditional car dealers within a few years.
