Air France and British Airways will suspend flights to and from Iran. The information was provided by the Austrian public radio ORF.
The spokesman for the French-Dutch airline Air France-KLM said Thursday it is not related to US sanctions against the Islamic Republic, but is a reflection of poor economic results, which is linked to Paris-Tehran. The last flight of the company from Iran is planned September 18th.
British Airways also pointed to the current economic downturn of London-Tehran. The other flight of this company must leave the Iranian airspace September 23.
