The cracked truck tire caused a head-on collision with the Greyhound bus company in the US state of New Mexico. The accident caused at least seven lives to be killed, AP reported Friday.
Fortune happened on Thursday afternoon local time on the main road near the border with Arizona. The authorities did not immediately inform about the health status of 49 bus passengers, from Albuquerque to Phoenix, or the number of wounded. The AP office added that nine people were admitted to a hospital in New Mexico University Hospital.
The circumstances of the accident are handled by the National Transportation Safety Authority and the New Mexico police investigators.
