Two-thirds of Slovaks find two-thirds of the holiday water lovers, the fifth want to know new places, 14% relax, 13% visit family or acquaintances and only 3% of people want to play active sports.
This is the result of a study conducted by Go4insight, which took place on a sample of 1,000 respondents between 15 and 79 at the end of July and August 2018. At the same time, the survey showed that 35% of Slovaks had never lived on holiday at sea. Even among the people with the highest net income of more than € 1000, there are about 15% of thiswho have never been on holiday at sea. Half of those with holiday leave reported no financial reasons. About a quarter will not go on holiday for your own health problems or family problems.
"This summer, 46% of the population aged between 15 and 79 were on holiday in Slovakia. Holiday means in this case at least a week away from home for recreation or recreationregardless of the type of accommodation or whether they have paid for the accommodation or not, "said Go4insight managing partner Július Filo.
In terms of countries, the Slovaks spent the most Slovaks this year, or 36%, summer holidays. They were mainly on holiday in Central Slovakia, less in the east and at least in the west of Slovakia. The most popular is Croatia, followed by Italy, the Czech Republic and Greece.
