BUCHAREST, Aug. 21 (WebNoviny.sk) – The Romanian authorities shot a bear after he stepped into an empty secondary school building and frightened the inhabitants of Harghita.
Local police officials said the animal appeared on the yard in the garden on Tuesday, a goat caught and killed and then, after a high fence, went to school, which was closed during the summer holidays.
Sandor Petres, Local Area Representative for Mediafax, said the bear after a few hours managed to get away in the deserted area where they shot him. Petres said they could not catch anyone who would have slept.
As AP writes, more than six thousand brown bears live in Romania.
