After the accident in Ölandsbron – queues towards Kalmar

Just before 12.30 on Sundays a traffic accident occurred on the Öland bridge when a car was hit from behind at the bridge bridge. The stop that took place affected traffic during the afternoon with long queues in the direction of Kalmar.

Update 17.30 hours: It is more or less completely quiet on the entire island of Öland. A car has to stand on the right-hand lane a few kilometers from Öland, making traffic slow.

The accident took place in the direction of Öland on the bridge bridge, on the side of the road for the fraternal occupation, and immediately there were queues in the east.

The traffic to Kalmar initially drifted as usual, but came a little later to be stopped by long queues in both directions as a result. A car needed carrier gas from the site.

Just after 12.50 the cars could start to roll to Öland again and at 13.07 the second lane opened, but towards Kalmar the queues stopped late in the afternoon.

"It is an inactive stop, we have not even come in half an hour," said a reader who heard the newspaper from the Öland bridge.

No person was injured in connection with the accident, but one of the drivers is suspected of not having kept the distance for the car.

The queues stretched far away from Öland and there were many drivers who got out of their cars while waiting for the traffic to degrade.
