The alarm came around at four o'clock on Saturday afternoon. The men had climbed to Kebnekaise but remained stuck in a steep slope where they could neither go up nor down.
Berghulp was called by helicopter to save the two men, but the first attempt had to be interrupted because bad wind and rain in the area were bad weather. But at 20:30 we made a new attempt and this time the helicopter could take the two mountaineers to the difficult weather.
– People are saved and do well, "says Mattias Borin, RLC commander at the Northern Central Police.
