Huawei kicks spy-suspicious employee – News

The company justifies the decision to kick the man with the event, giving the company a bad reputation.

Another man was arrested Friday, a Polish citizen. According to the security service in the country, the men are suspected of being spied on in China with the aim of causing harm to Poland. According to the Polish media, the Chinese man has previously worked in the Chinese consulate in Gdansk.

According to TVP, the Polish citizen must be employed by the telecommunications company Orange Polska and have been an agent for the Polish security service.

The Chinese Embassy in Warsaw has asked the Polish authorities to treat the matter fairly in accordance with the law and the rights and interests of the arrested. The Chinese Foreign Ministry wants to meet with the arrested Chinese citizen of Poland who is suspected of espionage, reports state media in China.

The ministry "closely follows the case" and wants to see a consular meeting as soon as possible.

The last few months were turbulent for Huawei. In December, the Chinese telecommanager Meng Wanzhou was arrested in Canada, suspected of violating the US sanctions against Iran.

US intelligence services have also argued that the technology and equipment of Huawei can be used by the Chinese government for espionage. This has meant that several countries have considered stopping the company to develop 5G technology in the country.
