Snapchat sets itself apart from social media apps when it comes to child abuse reports, a review found. Now the chocolate manufacturer Marabou chooses to stop its advertisements on the platform.

So far this year 36 men have been convicted of abuse via Snapchat, according to the review by SvD. Candy giant Mondelez, including owner of the Swedish Marabou, has decided to stop advertising for the time being.

“We have a dialogue with Snapchat to hear what they have to say about this and how they are addressing these serious issues,” said Marcus Hartmann, Nordic Communications Manager at Mondolez, in a comment to SvD. (TT)
