As the Baloise announced Tuesday, the Stöcklis plant was in the hall of the demolished head office at the Aeschengraben in Basel. It will be handed over to the Nidwaldner Museum in Stans next Tuesday.
Paul Stöckli lived from 1906 to 1991. He came from a family of painters and conservators and trained as an artist in Lucerne, Basel, Munich and Paris. He worked in Stans and Basel. There he belonged to the artists' association Kreis 48.
Stöckli created a number of works that could be seen in public, especially in churches and chapels. He made a mosaic for the canteen of Viscosuisse. (SDA)
