Rockfall closed away between Thun-Interlaken

On Friday evening around 7 pm on the cantonal road Thun-Interlaken at the height of Sundlauenen a petroglyph was done. About two cubic meters of rock fell on the road. This is reported by the authorities.

Nobody has been harmed. The road has since been closed. On Saturday morning, experts from the canton bureau for civil engineering will assess the situation on the spot and decide if the road can be cleared.

At the beginning of June, an unstable rock ridge was blown up at the same spot. About 40 to 60 cubic meters of rock was blown up in the Breittschingel area. The cantonneweg was closed for two days. (PMA)
