The weather was fantastic, the mood was good and the ranks were full. The Schwägalp-Schwinget was again a spectacle in a breathtaking landscape. Almost as many visitors came without a chair. Safety is no longer guaranteed, the organizers have to respond.
A record visit after another falls on the Schwägalp-Schwinget. This year it was 15 & # 39; 450 spectators, more than ever. Of these, 8,000 visitors had a ticket, which they paid for one of the places in the arena. Almost as many, more than 7,000 guests, came without a ticket and made themselves comfortable in the corridors, in the standing room or on the surrounding hills.
According to the SRF, this can not guarantee the safety of the guests. OC president Niklaus Hörler replies that the safety concept is constantly being adjusted and that after rehabilitation at Schwägalp a reassessment of the event will be carried out. "When 15,000 people come together, there are always tight spots on every occasion – whether on the Schwägalp-Schwinget under the Säntis or on the street parade in Zurich," says Hörler at the SRF.
The paramedics, who came from the square Samariterverein Nesslau, criticized the displaced escape routes and passages by the visitors. The Samaritan Association therefore proposes to close a direct path through which the Samaritans enter the ring. The OK seems to take the proposal seriously and investigate it.
