On Monday, August 26, 2013 at 7 pm, the sports hall on the Depotweg opened its doors – accompanied by a large media coverage from home and abroad. Simultaneously with the opening, the street zone on the Sihlquai was lifted to illuminate the residential area and the population. Five years later the weaning line is "well established" and functions as communicated by the social institutions and companies of the city of Zurich. The goals of the city council were fulfilled in the long term.
RADIO TOP has signed with the women's guidance and the police balance over 5 years of stroke:
The teat line is particularly effective in preventing violence against sex workers and trafficking in human beings. So, during the five years there was no case of serious violence – something that was a "sad agenda" in Sihlquai times, as the saying goes. In addition to the activities of the Flora Dora advisory service, this is also due to the presence of the organization nip züri. The city council also wanted to improve the safety and health of the sex workers, which also clearly succeeded. In addition, the safe, stable framework provides the Flora Dora advisory team the opportunity to identify victims of exploitation situations or human trafficking at an early stage. The women's advisor gives the city police approximately 100 low-threshold references every year to possible victims of human trafficking. In addition to the advisory activities, Flora Dora also distributes condoms in the bar zones and, together with the medical service of the city, organizes a health evening at the Strichplatz once a month.
Contribution of TELE TOP to the stroke:
On average 20 to 25 women work per night on the square. The number fluctuates per season, but is generally stable. Most women come from Eastern Europe. There have been various operational changes since the opening. The dump truck was originally open daily from 7 to 5 pm and can only be reached by car. Since 2016 it is open from Thursday to Saturday until 5 am and from Sunday to Wednesday until 3 am. Since the beginning of 2018 bicycles and motorcycles have been approved for testing purposes. So far the experiment is running smoothly. At the beginning of 2014, standing boxes were also established. Currently there are eight car and four standing boxes on the teat area available.
The operating costs amount to approximately 800,000 francs annually. It mainly consists of personnel costs for compliance with the order of placing on the teat line and the consultancy services of Flora Dora.
