Problems with the Windows October update: tips for a stress-free installation

It may happen that the October update fails due to insufficient free space. 16 GB must be at least free for the 32-bit version, 20 GB is minimal for the 64-bit version. Unfortunately, a failed update does not always clear the problem, but you see the 0x80070070 – 0x50011 or something similar.

Here only helps to create space for which we recommend the good old disk cleaning or the new memory optimization. If deleting temporary files is not enough, you can delete unused programs or disconnect from other data. Tip: often the download folder is filled with installation program that you do not really need.

Those who prefer to help with an external tool can try BleachBit.
