Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC), the leading free zone in the world and the government authority of the Dubai Commodity and Enterprise Department, announced today that construction work on the upcoming Uptown Dubai project is progressing rapidly. The first high tower in the project.

More than 150 concrete pillars have been installed in the past few months, with another 140 pillars installed to support the first phase of the tower platform, which will include a two-story central floor with world-class shops, food and beverage outlets and entertainment areas.

The concrete foundation, which requires 2,500 tons of reinforcing steel and more than 12,000 cubic meters of concrete, has been poured over 46 hours of uninterrupted work.

The Dubai Multi Commodities Center (DMCC) has signed a partnership agreement with Accor Hotels to launch its first luxury hotel under the Su brand in the Middle East, in the first high-rise tower in Dubai's Uptown Dubai.
