Dubai – Mubasher: Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the completion of 60% of the development of the axis of Tripoli Street, which links the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed and the Emirates with a length of approximately 12 km .

Al Tayer explained that the project contributes to strengthening ties between Dubai and Sharjah Emirate, in addition to reducing traffic congestion, facilitating traffic, improving the entrances to Al Warqaa and Mirdif areas along Tripoli Street and increasing from the safety level along the axis as well as at the intersection of the streets Rabat and Nad Al Hammer at Al-Baramitha Club, Free traffic capacity 12,000 vehicles per hour in two directions "6000 vehicles per hour in each direction."

The project is expected to contribute to the reduction of traffic volume on these axes by 30%. The project will be completed at the completion of the parallel axis of Al-Omdari – Al Khawaneej and Al Aweer Ras Al Khor,.

He pointed out that the work in the project is progressing at an accelerated pace. The completion rate in the extension of Tripoli Street from the intersection with Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Road to Emirates Road is more than 90% The completion rate in the development of the bridge between Sheila and Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Over 95%, while the completion rate in the bridge connecting the expansion of Tripoli Street with the Emirates Road in the direction of Sharjah was about 40%. The completion rate in the bridge on the axis of Tripoli Street with Nouakchott Street was more than 50%, while the completion rate in the tunnel at the intersection was Tripoli and Algiers / Mirdif Al-Warqa / more than 10%.

Al Tayer noted that the development project of the Tripoli Street street includes the extension of Tripoli Street from the intersection with Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road at Mirdif City Center and to Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Road with a length of 6.5 km. Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan and up to the Emirates Road with a length of 5.3 km with a capacity of three tracks in each direction, bringing the length of the axis to about 12 km.

He added that the project includes the development of intersections along the axis where the junction of Tripoli Street with Algiers Street will be developed into a tunnel with a capacity of three tracks in each direction serving the traffic coming from Rabat Street to Tripoli Street with the development of the current surface crossing point controlled by a light signal. Lower the waiting time at the existing intersection from 3 minutes to less than 1 minute .

The project also includes the development of the roundabout located on Tripoli Street with Nouakchott Street to a three-way bridge in both directions and the establishment of a lightly marked junction, as well as the development of the current roundabout on Tripoli Road with Sheikh Zayed Bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Road to the crossing of a bridge that provides free traffic In all directions and the establishment of the streets of the merging of the movements of the perimeter besides the creation of two tunnels to cross the beauty and cross the tunnel that beauty no. 3 on the Emirates Road crosses .

He pointed out that it also includes the development of the junction of the extension of Tripoli Street with the Emirates Road to create a bridge that serves traffic from the Tripoli Street to Emirates or Sharjah with three tracks, as well as the expansion work on Tripoli Street in different locations and improvements when he called Al-Rumaitha and intersections with light signals instead The project involves the construction of a bridge to serve the traffic coming from Tripoli Street to Emirates Road in the direction of the emirate Sharjah with a capacity of three tracks and the creation of a superficial intersection / entry and exit / traffic from Sharjah on Emirates Road.
