The World Health Organization (WHO) has praised the support of the United Arab Emirates for patients with kidney failure in Yemen, who live in difficult medical conditions.
Approximately 5,200 kidney failure patients in Yemen are struggling to secure the costs of dialysis sessions, the WHO said in a report.
"I can not imagine the lives of patients with kidney failure getting their wash sessions once or twice a week, and all they need are three weekly sessions," quoted Navio Zagaria, the WHO representative in Yemen.
In the difficult circumstances of these patients, it was able to support dialysis centers thanks to funding from the UAE in support of the United Nations Humanitarian Emergency Plan for 2018 in Yemen.
The organization also provided support to patients with kidney failure, thanks to the King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Center.
