Julian’s Auctions has announced the sale of the famous pistol that Sean Connery wore in the first “James Bond” movie to be screened in theaters, for a price of $ 256,000.

The house said the buyer was an American who preferred to remain anonymous Friday, according to “AFP”.

Sean Connery, who died in October at the age of 90, carried this Walther BP gun in the movie Doctor No.

In this feature film, the British agent is ordered to replace his old “Beretta” pistol with a “Walther” model. In the film he is told that “the US intelligence services only use this type”.
In its various versions, this gun remained Agent 007’s weapon of choice in the following movies with a total of 25.

Walter BP was one of the 500 most prominent pieces in Hollywood cinema to offer Julian’s Auctions at a private auction Thursday.

Among these items was the helmet Tom Cruise wore in “Top Gun,” which sold for $ 108,000.

The release of the next installment of the James Bond movies entitled “No Time to Die” was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The film, in which Daniel Craig will play Agent 007 for the last time, is expected in April 2021.

Sean Connery is considered by many to be the best James Bond actor on screen. Connery played the role six times, as well as the adapted version of Never Say Never Again.
