The second edition of the Industrial Cooperation and Supply Chain Conference, organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), represented by the Sharjah Export Development Center (SCCI), is held under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi , crown prince and deputy ruler of Sharjah.
The conference, which will be organized by the House, will discuss future industrial areas and ways to develop the industrial sector and accelerate the pace of product supply by taking advantage of rapid digital transformation in accordance with the ambitious economic vision of Sharjah and his strategy to diversify sources of income and develop the industrial sector. The biennial events discuss the challenges and opportunities in the production and trade sector and create a platform for gathering business leaders and experts in the industrial and export sectors to discuss ways of developing production processes in local and national industrial companies and institutions, as well as exchange of views, proposals and best practices. As well as exploring the possibilities to enable industrial companies in Sharjah and the UAE to become a supplier of products and services to the original equipment manufacturers in the UAE and around the world.
The conference will be held with the participation of a number of government agencies and entities engaged in the industrial sector and supply chains in the UAE and the Emirate, as well as a number of executives and experts in the largest private companies of the UAE.
The conference focuses on addressing the opportunities and challenges associated with industrial cooperation to increase the capacity of local producers and enable them to offer the basic components and services of OEMs inside and outside the country, especially in the fields of defense, aviation, industrial space and others. The conference also emphasizes the need to make people aware of the importance of preparing professional business leaders. The President of the House pointed out that the participation of many managers of international organizations and companies active in the industrial production line in the events of the conference will be a qualitative addition to the event, which will help to identify the best international working methods in the interests of employees in these sectors and the service of the local business community.
Al Owais noted that the conference is witnessing the launch of new recommendations at the end of his work, which will improve the performance of the local industrial sector in the Emirate of Sharjah through sustainable work on the modernization of mechanisms, techniques and means to increase and develop industrial production in accordance with the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The conference program consists of three sessions, the first entitled "Industrial Cooperation and Export Development Series", the second entitled "Innovation in Supply Chain – Opportunities and Challenges" and the third entitled "Entrepreneurship and Supply Chain for Small and Medium Enterprises".
