Mohamed Salah has been told he is not “indispensable” to Liverpool and can be sold “if the price is right”.
That is the view of former Reds goalkeeper David James, who suggested that Liverpool as a team would play better without the Egyptian by their side.
Salah was absent on Sunday for Liverpool’s impressive 3-0 win over Leicester, where substitute Diogo Jota scored for a fourth straight home game.
There has been a lot of talk in the past that given their advancing years, Liverpool would eventually break the first three, and James now feels that moving Salah abroad could be a plausible development.
When asked whether a switch to Real Madrid is possible, James said Astro Stadium : “If the price is right, every player will be sold. It depends what that price is.
“When Salah would go to Manchester City, I do not think that would be good business for Liverpool. If he would go to another league and another country, it would be more logical.
,, I do not depend Liverpool Salah and that’s a good thing for Jürgen Klopp. However, it should still be replaced. “
James admitted that Jota, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino could not continue to play every game.
He also stated that he believed that Divock Origi could not fill the void, but added, “I don’t think so [Salah]is indispensable. “

It’s been a very interesting start to the season for the men of Jürgen Klopp.
They got off to a shaky start to their title defense when they defeated a seven-goal thriller against Leeds, before conceding seven in a hammer from Aston Villa.
Virgil van Dijk’s season ended with an injury in the 2-2 draw at Everton, which made the title favorites look much less secure – especially with Alisson’s injury concerns.
But there’s no delay in what is going to be a busy campaign – with Klopp making sure his men keep going at full speed as they bid for more title glory.

Salah may not be indispensable, but his goals and achievements at Liverpool are unmatched by his teammates.
He was the fourth fastest player in Premier League history to hit the 50-goal milestone, and was Liverpool’s top scorer in each of the past three seasons.
In that time, he has won the Premier League Golden Boot twice, as well as the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award in 2018.

But while James has no doubts about Salah’s credentials, he believes Liverpool would still benefit from leaving.
“I’ve said this before and it’s not that Mo Salah isn’t a great player, it’s just that Liverpool looks better without him on the field because there’s more fluidity,” added James.
“If players can turn it around, it causes problems to defend.
“Players who pick up the ball and run with it, just need to stop. That’s what happens with Salah, even if he has eight goals [this season]. “
