On the American market, the modernized Elantra will be released this autumn.
The first show of the updated Hyundai Elantra sedan did not take place as expected in Korea, but in the United States – the model debuted in Utah as part of a special event organized for local media representatives.
At the same time, the official photo of the refreshed model was posted on the internet. Although there is only a picture of the Elantra 2019 in the American specification, the international sedan looks the same.
Restyling "four-door" received triangular headlights and fog lights, a new radiator grille, bumpers and lights. The rear license plate moves from the trunk (at the shape of the lid) to the bumper. In the salon – a new steering wheel and deflectors blow, modernized "cleaning", another control unit for air conditioning. Optional multimedia system with 8-inch touchscreen (in the "basic" – 7-inch screen).
In all versions of the renewed Elantra, except for the cheapest, there are systems for automatic emergency braking, a warning for leaving the occupied tire and monitoring the "blind" zones, a rear view camera. Also for the model is a safety exit assist system, which prevents accidents with rear-coming cars, which temporarily block the rear doors, – this option is also available for the new generation Hyundai Santa Fe crossover. .
In the US, the restyling of Elantra will be offered with the former engines – petrol "atmospheric" 2.0 MPI (147 hp), "turbo four-fold" 1.4 T-GDI (128 hp) and 1.6 T-GDI ( 201 hp). The last engine is "loaded" sedan with the prefix Sport, but the sporty updated version has not yet been released. The atmospheric engine is combined with 6MKP or 6AKP, turbo engine 1.4 only works with a seven-step preselective "robot", 1.6 T-GDI – with 6MKP or "robot".
On the American market, the modernized Elantra will be released this autumn, prices have not yet been announced. Pre-reform saloon in the States costs $ 14,450 (excluding taxes and shipping).
