The company Mercedes-Benz has published the first teaser image of its first serial crossover, called EQC. As reported by Autonews, the official premiere of the car will be held on September 4th. The main competitors of the novelty are Audi E-tron, Jaguar I-Pace and Tesla Model X.
The car will be assembled in a company in the American state of Alabama. For this, about one billion dollars will be spent on modernizing it. At the moment the factory assembles the models GLE, GLE Coupe and GLS.
The EQC design will look like GLS. The crossover will be built on the newly developed platform Electric Vehicle Architecture (EVA). The design of the car uses high-quality steel and aluminum. The machine receives a new wiring system that allows you to transfer up to 100% of the torque to the front or rear axle if required.
