The German car manufacturer Volkswagen announced a partnership with one of the largest IT companies in the world: Microsoft. As part of the agreement, it is the intention to equip all VAG models with the latest cloud-based internet system Volkswagen Automotive Cloud since 2020, reports the Autonomy of the Day portal.
It is assumed that the emergence of a cloud-based internet service enables car owners to communicate directly with car manufacturers about technical problems or problems. Thanks to Volkswagen Automotive Cloud, current multimedia systems will reach a qualitatively new level, enabling them to download streaming content for the first time.
The first five million cars, equipped with a new cloud Internet system from Microsoft, plan to issue by 2020.
