Ukrainian tape won the prize at the International Film Festival
The Ukrainian-Italian film received the prestigious Kineo Diamond Award at the 75th International Venice Film Festival. It is about the movie "Izi".
This was reported by the head of the State Committee of Ukraine Philip Ilyenko.
"Today, the Ukrainian-Italian film" Izy "received the Kineo Diamond Award in Venice, and that's how it all started three years ago: it was the first contract I signed as chairman of the state committee for making a new film and that I only managed to work in the office in one year and three months! "- wrote Ilyenko on the Facebook page.
The film "Izy" also received a spectator award at the Lighthouse International Film Festival in New Jersey. The tape came out on the screens for home in the autumn of last year.
The film tells of a 40-year-old Italian named Isidoro (Izy), who at the request of his brother takes a coffin from Italy to the high mountainous Carpathian village with the body of a Ukrainian guest worker who died on the construction site. During this trip on the road Isidoro, the former successful driver, there are many obstacles.
The leading role in the film was played by a young Italian actor Nicolas Nochella, and one of the secondary is the legendary actress Barbara Boucher. Actor Ostap Stupka also participated.
Earlier it was reported that in the context of the days of Ukrainian culture in Belarus, the Ukrainian film "Cyborgs" by director Akhtem Seitablayev was shown on the heroic defense of Donetsk airport, the Ukrainian embassy in Belarus said his Facebook page.
This presentation was attended by State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine Rostislav Karandeyev, Ukrainian ambassador to Belarus Igor Kizim, Belarusian diplomats, officials and experts, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian community.
It should be noted that during the show of the final titles of the "Cyborgs" the audience got up and applauded for a long time.

Another storyline of the film – Hull adopts a girl from Ukraine, who lost her entire family during the war in the Donbass.
